These cookies were made for a baby shower. The theme was "Starting a New Chapter".
The book design and "Thanks" were taken from tags that were created for the shower. The books were royal icing transfers. I used my Kopykake for the text.
They were bagged and put into jars for shipping.
Later, they were popped into the favor bags. Not a bad match!

Fall Cookie Decorating Class
I'll be teaching another Cookie Decorating class at The Kitchen Studio Cooking School in Frederick, MD on Thurs, November 7, 2013 at 6:30 pm.
We'll be decorating the Fall cookies that you see in the photos below - some with colored icing, some in black and white so that the kids can color them at Thanksgiving!
We'll talk about using common cookie cutters to get these designs, wet-on-wet, as well as wet-on-dry icing techniques. This class is both for beginners and those with some decorating experience. I hope you'll join me! You can sign up here.

Construction Sign Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing
I made these sugar cookies decorated with royal icing for a baby shower. The theme was "Baby Under Construction". So cute!
Construction signs with "Thank You" to be handed out to the guests.
I added a touch of luster dust to the nails to give them a bit of shine.

State Sugar Cookies
These were made for a wedding. 300 of them! The theme was "Burlap and Lace" with him being from Texas and her from Maryland.
The hearts were royal icing transfers and represent their hometowns.
I piped their names on just four of the cookies. These were to be given to the bride and groom.
The rest were packaged up into gift boxes for the guests.

Candy Crush Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing
I'm hooked. I admit it. I love Candy Crush. When I saw SweetAmbs' tutorial, I knew that I would have to make them sometime.
I really dislike hand-cutting dough, so I went with squares.
I used my KopyKake to pipe the candies.
The dots on the chocolate candy are piped, not sprinkles.
The highlights are wet-on-wet.
Are those possible moves bothering anyone else?
There. Better.
That next move is now bothering me. Just like with the game....I must stop now.
